Special Power Supply PSF-16

The PSF-16 is dedicated for FPGA and other high speed electronics development & test. Power supply is modular and can have up to 16 outputs in range up to 5VDC including sequencing, voltage ramping and all protections as OVP, OCP, OTP. The PSF-16 has embedded independent faste readout system measuring all voltages and currents. The power part and radout part are controlable via ETHERNET TCP/IP protocol. System is equipped by software for PC able to store all remote parameters to the database and remotely control all functions.

The Device Under Test can be in distance of 3m from power supply. This enables tests in different types of laboratory, irradiation failities and similar. One of the first applications was to power development board for radiation tests of XILINX Ultrascale FPGA with DDR4 memories delivering 13 different voltages in specific sequence, with ability of power cycle of specific blocks of outputs.

High Voltage Electronic Load HVEL-20

HVEL-20 is modular electronic load capable to operate up to 20kV and maximum power disipation of 400W. It is originally dedicated for FEEP thruster tests but can be used also for other type of High Voltage tests. Due to modularity it can be adapted for also other voltages and currents. The HVEL-20 has local and remote control and measurement circuits, possibility to ONLINE/OFFLINE mode. HVEL20 uses ETHERNET based remote cotrol and SCPI based control language. The load is air cooled.

Custom Xilinx Ultrascale Motherboard

EGSESPACE developed the board for radiation tests of XILINX Ultrascale FPGA with DDR4 memories. The board was designed in frame of project to develop FPGA code ensuring high data reliability/data correction algorithm using pair of independent DDR4 memories.

The board contains FPGA XCZU2EG, SODIMM slot for processor part of FPGA, SODIMM slot for special DDR4 containing separate buses for each chip. The auxiliary circuits are SD card slot, FLASH memory, JTAG port, gigabit ETHERNET controller, clock oscilators, bunch of indication LEDs and test points and two pairs of RS422 drivers, one for PL part of FPGA and second for processor part. The board do not contain any DCDC converter as there is. The board is powered remotely, using sense wires, via three cables ended by standard DSUB connectors.

The topology of the board is made for placement to the proton or ion beam to cover only tested parts and minimize risk of radiation damage of auxiliary parts. The board is designed to operate together with PSF-16 power supply.
